The full name of this three-volume set is “Kifoya sharhi Muxtasari Viqoya,” meaning it is a translation and commentary on the well-known “Muxtasari Viqoya” in our region. The original name of “Muxtasari Viqoya” is “Niqoya,” authored by the famous jurist Sodrush-shari’ah Ubaydullah ibn Mas’ud al-Bukhari, who passed away in Hijri 747. Ubaydullah ibn Mas’ud created this book by abridging his grandfather Mahmud ibn Sodrush-shari’ah’s book titled “Viqoyatur Rivoya fiy masailil Hidoya.” Among scholars and people, it became widely known as “Muxtasari Viqoya.” It is one of the most authoritative books in the Hanafi school of thought, being an abridgment of the “Viqoya” book, which is one of the four main trusted texts in the Hanafi madhhab. Scholars and students of knowledge have respected this book since ancient times.

The first volume of “Kifoya” consists of the books “Purity” and “Prayer.” Additionally, this book contains information about the definition, history, sources, and significance of the science of fiqh, as well as details on the fiqh schools and their minor differences.
